Getting Started

How do I get started with HippieG?

The first step is a free 30-minute consultation — no obligation, no pressure. We’ll talk about your business, your current bookkeeping situation, and which package makes sense for you. If we’re a good fit, I’ll send you a Client Service Agreement and we’ll schedule your onboarding call. The whole process from first conversation to first close typically takes one to two weeks.

Do I need to have my books in order before hiring you?

Absolutely not — that’s the whole point. Many new HippieG clients come to me with months (or years) of messy books that have never been properly reconciled. I offer bookkeeping catch-up and cleanup services specifically for that situation.

What accounting software do you work with?

HippieG works primarily with QuickBooks Online and Xero — the two most widely used cloud bookkeeping platforms for small businesses. If you’re not currently using bookkeeping software, I’ll recommend the best option during the consultation.

Is there a setup fee or contract requirement?

There is no setup fee — ever. HippieG requires a 30-day written notice to terminate service, but there are no long-term contracts or early termination penalties. You’re not locked in.

The Bookkeeping Process

What exactly do you do each month?

Every month, I reconcile every bank account and credit card included in your package, categorize every transaction, and prepare your Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and plain-English summary. Everything is delivered to your inbox by the 15th of the following month.

What do I need to provide each month?

Most months, very little. Once your accounts are connected, transactions flow in automatically. Most clients spend less than 15 minutes per month on their end.

When will I receive my reports each month?

Your reports are delivered by the 15th of the month following the close period. For example, September reports will be in your inbox no later than October 15th. This is a firm commitment — not a guideline.

Pricing & Packages

What’s included in every package?

Every package includes full monthly reconciliation, a Profit & Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and plain-English summary — all delivered by the 15th. See the Services & Pricing page for full package details.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my package?

Absolutely. As your business grows, you may need more capacity. Upgrades take effect the following month with no penalty. Downgrades require 30 days’ notice.

Working With Your CPA

Will HippieG work with my existing CPA?

Yes — and your CPA will love it. I maintain clean, organized books throughout the year so your CPA has everything they need at tax time. The Growth and Premium packages include a full year-end CPA handoff package.

Can HippieG file my taxes?

HippieG is a bookkeeping service, not a tax preparation service. I handle your monthly books and make sure your records are perfect for your CPA or tax preparer. I’m happy to refer you to a trusted local CPA if you need one.
